We gathered in Tallahassee to talk food and seed systems resilience.
In February 2026, a group of farmers, seed growers, food practitioners and university researchers from Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida gathered in Tallahassee, Florida, to discuss the challenges and most pressing resilience matters for farmers across Southeast, Appalachian and Midwest regions. The event was hosted by and sponsored through the Resilient Infrastructure and Disaster Response (RIDER) Center of FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. We are now reflecting on the event to help build the narrative for the next one that will take place in 2027.
